Nov 17, 2005 (newstodate): Since October 20, Turkish Airlines has been operating its new route between Istanbul and Astana, Kazakhstan.
The route is served three times weekly with �310-300 aircraft in expectation of high passenger and cargo loads. If successful, frequency may be increased to daily services.
According to sources, the airline is now mulling the introduction of a freighter service on the route as well.
