Nov 15, 2005 (newstodate): Based at Gothenburg Landvetter Airport, the Swedish lcc FlyMe has announced plans for expanding its route network.
Among the bunch of 12 new routes to European destinations, the carrier will start thrice-weekly operations from Gothenburg to Prague from March 30, 2006.
The expansion builds on increased finances through a new emission of shares, and will require acquisition of more aircraft.
The Icelandic Fons gruop recently acquired the majority stake in the airline that operates four Boeing 737 leased from Awas, and also charters two Boeing 737 owned by Swedish Post's Falcon Air.
