Nov 1, 2005 (newstodate): Air Lithuania is operating according to schedule and denies any rumours about an imminent collapse.
-We are well aware of the rumours spread in the markets by competitors, but we flatly deny that the airline is at all going bankrupt, says Naglis Vysnauskas, Air Lithuania owner and director-general.
-It is true that we have a strained financial situation, but who has not in the current world of aviation, he says.
-There are, however, no changes to our flight schedules, and we are confident that we will solve our current problems without any inconveniences to our passengers, says Mr Vysnauskas.
Air Lithuania currently operates three ATR-42 aircraft, including one owned by the company.
