Nov 29, 2005 (newstodate): Fears are rising that traffic in the air space corridors of Georgia may be blocked by Georgian state debts.
The Georgian air navigation company Sakaeronavigatsia has had its assets in the Netherlands arrested in security for a debt Georgian government owes to Sierra Oil Enterprise.
The confiscation of the assets may threaten services required by the Georgian air navigation company to control and manage air traffic on the corridors betweeen Europe and South and West Asia.
ICAO may reportedly step in to support the relief of the assets, enabling Georgia to secure the air traffic lanes.
