Nov 10, 2005 (newstodate): Finair Cargo reports a 4.8 percent growth in cargo volumes during October.
The overall growth in scheduled traffic was 7.6 percent, driven by the increase in Asian traffic by 19.3 percent, while European volumes managed a 0.8 percent increase.
In the opposite direction pulled a decline in North Atlantic volumes by 14.8 percent, and volumes on Finnair Cargo's chartered freighter routes declined by 9.3 percent.
This resulted in an overall cargo load factor at 71.4 percent, again driven by an Asian routes load factor at 83.8 percent against 78.0 percent in the North Atlantic traffic.
