Nov 25, 2005 (newstodate): Finland's success in marketing Rovaniemi as the home of Father Christmas is stressing Norway's civil aviation.
During December up to 250 extra flights, including some 30 from the UK, are heading for Rovaniemi, passing through Norwegian airspace.
This creates delays of up to 30 minutes for Norway's domestic flights.
Maybe Greenland should enhance its marketing efforts to reinforce the position of its claim to the world's authentic Father Christmas.
