Nov 23, 2005 (newstodate): The SAS Group-owned Swedish company European Aeronautical Group has been acquired by Canadian company Navtech.
The acquisition provides Navtech with aeronautical charting and navigational data solution sets and substantially increases Navtech's European customer base.
With the acquisition, Navtech now services more than 200 airlines around the world, including SAS, British Airways, Delta Air Lines, Air Canada, Air Asia, EVA Airways and JetBlue Airways.
In connection with the acquisition, former EAG president and CEO, Bj�rn Alegren has left the company to take up a new position with SAS as head of SAS Group corporate purchasing.
