Nov 11, 2005 (newstodate): Boeing holds the world record for long distance flights, set by a Boeing 777-200LR Worldliner on Thursday.
Piloted by a female captain, the aircraft flew from Hong Kong eastwards to London Heathrow where it landed after traling a distance of 21,601 km in 22 hrs 22 min.
The first 777-200LR will be delivered to Pakistan International Airlines in early 2006.
To date, 43 airlines around the world have ordered more than 700 777s
