Nov 1, 2005 (newstodate): In the first nine months of 2005, Austrian Airlines Cargo has increased its volumes of cargo and mail by 7.5 percent, year-on-year.
-Highest growth is seen in the Asian market with the start of a service between Vienna and Mumbai five times a week as of September this year, says Franz Zoechbauer, Austrian Airlines VP Cargo.
-For the rest of this year we foresee a healthy growth, and are optimistic about the outlook for the next year, estimated to generate a growth in volumes by eight to nine percent.
-As of May this year, Cargo 2000 is publishing performance figures, and Austrian Airlines Cargo is ranking among the Top 5 airlines of the world, and Nr 2 in Europe, Mr Zoechbauer says.
