Nov 3, 2005 (newstodate): Taking effect from November 14, Latvian airline airBaltic and Austrian Airlines have signed a code-share agreement.
From that date, all flights between Riga and Vienna will be jointly operated.
This agreement is given added significance by the fact that in 2002, after a dispute between the airlines over the number of flights each could operate, all cooperation agreements between them were cancelled.
The two airlines will offer a total of 11 flights a week to Vienna, with Austrian Airlines operating daily flights, while airBaltic operates on the route four times weekly.
