Nov 11, 2005 (newstodate): Air Atlanta Icelandic, a company in the Icelandic Avion Group, is planning for the continued operations of two Boeing 747-300 formerly with Iberia.
After the expiry of the ACMI lease contract, Air Atlanta now has the aircraft in for re-delivery C-checks.
One aircraft will then go to Etihad on an ACMI contract from early December, while the other has been leased for Hajj operations by an indisclosed operator.
Air Atlanta Icelandic is also to receive two Boeing 747-400 aircraft from Iberia after the expiry of the lease contract.
They will return in July, 2006, and Air Atlanta is now seeking new operators for these aircraft.
