OCT 03, 2005 (newstodate): Aeroflot has posted a new revised flight schedule due to the sustained withdrawal from service of its six IL-96-300 longhaul aircraft.
The latest revision will be in effect till the expiry of the current summer schedule, and includes a/o the cancellation of flights sto Washington.
The uncertainty over the return to service of the grounded fleet thus continues.
In the meantime Aeroflot seems to be moving ahead towards obtaining permission to lease a number of Boeing 767 aircraft, while the state seems to be softening on its demands for up to 50 percent state tax on imports of certain aircraft types that are not currently available from Russian aircraft manufacturers.
