Oct 13, 2005 (newstodate): Russian airline Transaero saw its cargo volumes rising during January-September.
During the period, the airline generated a total of 10.898 tonnes of air cargo, up 30 percent on last year.
In September, Transaero lifted 1,762 tonnes of cargo, up 26 percent, y-o-y.
This year, Transaero became the first Russian commercial airline to order Boeing 747 aircft.
Transaero currently operates seven Boeing 767 and six Boeing 737 Classic aircraft in addition to two Boeing 747 aircraft.
Plans are to add a further two 747s at a later stage, and the carrier has also this year ordered a total of six Boeing 737-800 aircraft.
