Oct 10, 2005 (newstodate): Meetings will continue this week between the owners of the Iceland group that controls Icelandair, and the Icelandic owners of Sterling, Maersk Air and Iceland Express.
As Icelandic and Danish banks are reportedly also taking part in the meetings that have been reported to the Icelandic Stock Exchange, a full or partial take-over may be imminent, sources say.
Sterling/Maersk Air would provide Icelandair with the means to secure and expand an efficient feeder system to interface with Icelandair's North Atlantic traffic via Reykjavik.
