Oct 26, 2005 (newstodate): The lease by the Icelandic FL Group of two Boeing 747-400F aircraft, announced earlier on newstodate, will probably involve its subsidary, Bluebird Cargo.
-It is still too early to say exactly how these aircraft will be used, says Petur J Eirikson, Icelandair Cargo managing director.
-Bluebird is looking into the ACMI market, whereas we, Icelandair Cargo, are rather considering expanding our network, especially towards Asia.
-We have been looking for various types of aircraft, preferring converted Boeing 747-400 aircraft.
-We may end up having Bluebird providing the capacity for us, but this issue is still not finalised, says Mr Eirikson.
