Oct 24, 2005 (newstodate): Icelandic-owned airline Sterling's cargo GSA in Denmark, ProActive Airline Services has announced its decision to abrogate its contract with the airline with effect from October 31, 2005.
-We are sad to take this step, but with the acquisition by Sterling of Maersk Air, the subsequent sale of Maersk Air Cargo to SAS Cargo and the split between cargo sales on Sterling's own and Maersk Air's earlier routes, and the most recent acquisition by FL Group of Sterling, we expect a prolonged period of uncertainty over future decisions, says Bo Seidelin, ProActive Airline Services.
-Rather that being caught in this intransigent situation we decided, therefore, to bring about an end to this on our own initiative, he says.
After the end of this month, cargo sales on Sterling's routes will thus terminate until a decision on a new cargo GSA has been made.
