Oct 20, 2005 (newstodate): British Airways World Cargo has decided to expand its European Shorthaul Freighter program to include Scandinavia.
With effect from November 5, an Airbus A300 freighter will start once-weekly operations between Stockholm and London Heathrow.
BAWC generates 60 percent of its Nordic revenues in the Swedish market, Norway contributes 35 percent, while Denmark and Finland share the remaining five percent.
BAWC currently relies on the belly capacity on BA's passenger flights including daily Boeing 767 widebody flights at Stockholm, and extensive road feeder services from the other Nordic markets into BA's hubs in the UK and at Frankfurt Airport.
