Oct 21, 2005 (newstodate): Avion Group's subsidiary, Avion Aircraft Trading has purchased three ex-China Airlines Airbus A300-600 passenger aircraft which will be converted into freighters.
The company recently posted an order for three Boeing 777 freighters, with options for a further two aircraft of the type.
The conversion will be undertaken by Elbe Flugzeugwerke GmbH, with delivery of the aircraft is scheduled for 2006 and 2007.
Avion Group already operates four Airbus A300-600 freighters within its Air Atlanta Icelandic subsidiary, and more are expected to be added to the fleet in the future.
