OCT 07, 2005 (newstodate): Volga-Dnepr's subsidiary, AirBridge Cargo has received its third Boeing 747 freighter that is now in operation.
The new aircraft, a Boeing 747-300, enables the company to add four more weekly scheduled frequencies between China, Russia and Europe.
AirBridge Cargo currently operates six weekly flights to Shanghai and two weekly services to Beijing from Amsterdam and Frankfurt via Moscow Sheremetyevo and Krasjnoyarsk.
The four new flights will be added to the Shanghai service.
The aircraft is operated on lease contract with EAST, managed by GATX Leasing.
In June, Volga-Dnepr signed a financial agreement with ILFC for two IL-96-300T freighters that will delivered in 2006 and 2007 to support AirBridge Cargo's growing netwurk served with Boeing 747 freighters.
