JAN 28, 2005 (newstodate): The Swedish airline SWE FLY has now been granted rights from the Swesish authorities to operate its planned route from Stockholm Skavsta to Lahore, Pakistan.
The airline can now apply for similar rights with the Pakistani authorities, and pending the outcome of this application the airline hopes to be able to inaugurate the route by late March, well in time to serve the market for etchnic traffic between Europe and Pakistan.
The full routing of the twice weekly service is London Luton via Stockholm to Lahore and v.v.
To serve the route, SWE FLY has leased a Boeing 767-200 aircraft from IFLC.
This weekend, SWE FLY is also taking over its third Fokker F50 aircraft, needed to bolster services on existing Swedish domestic routes, and to increase the airline's charter services.
