JAN 11, 2005 (newstodate): Bulgarian Sofia Airport will remain restricted in operations till November due to delays in construction work on the airport's new runway.
The project was planned for completion by April 2, but unforeseen factors have forced the airport to accept a delay by six months.
The new runway will therefore not be operative till November this year.
The airport also ran into problems with construction of its new passenger terminal that is now expected to become operational by August 31, 2005, after similar delays.
