JAN 24, 2005 (newstodate): The Polish Ministry of Defemce has announced plans to sell off military airfields to commercial operators.
-Airports constitute a huge financial burden,
so if a constructive offer was submitted, we would gladly get rid of them, says Jerzy Rasilewicz, chairman of the Agency for Military Property.
According to Mr Rasilewicz, the tenders for airports in Nowe Miasto and Slupsk will be completed in the next few weeks, while the sale
of airstrips in Wdzydze and Zegrze Pomorskie is being negotiated.
