SEP 24, 2004 (newstodate): Wroclaw Airport, Poland, is preparing for en expansion within the nest two years of its passenger terminal and other facilities.
-The present terminal was designed with an annual capacity of 600,000 paseengers. This year we will have close to 400,000 passengers, so a new terminal will soon be needed and will be constructed most probably in the next two to three years, says Jaroslaw Sztucki, Wroclaw Airport marketing manager.
Also the construction of some additional aprons and taxiways are necessary, he says.
-According to our Master Plan we are going to spend about 100 million euro within the next few years, including land acquisition. But no final decision have yet been taken on when work will be started, and the issue of financial sources is also not clear right now, says Mr Sztucki.
