SEP 29, 2004 (newstodate): Boeing has put the B777-200LR on the assembly line.
Poised to become the world's longest-reaching airliner, the first B777-200LR is scheduled to roll out of the factory in February, and begin flight-testing in March. First delivery is scheduled during the first quarter of 2006.
The new aircraft will take a load of 301 passenger over distances up to 17,446 kilometers.
Pakistan International Airlines and EVA Air are the first customers for the 777-200LR.
