SEP 06, 2004 (newstodate): Virgin Atlantic has got the go-ahead from the Nigerian government to launch the country's new national airline, Virgin Nigeria Airlines.
The new airline will take-off with its first flight on the country's national day, October 1, reports say.
Virgin Atlantic will hold 49 percent of the shares, with Nigerian institutional investors will keep the majority of shares.
