SEP 03, 2004 (newstodate): During the first six months of this year, the total ex-US IATA airfreight volumes grew briskly by 19.3 percent to 839,335 tonnes.
The single largest market remained Europe with 380,988 tonnes, up 12.9 percent, followed by Asia with 298,389 tonnes, up 22.1 percent, and South America with 63,706 tonnes.
The largest growth rates were in freight to S America, up 43.4 percent, Africa, up 28.1 percent, and M East, 24.5 percent.
