SEP 10, 2004 (newstodate): Within 10 days, Swedish airline Swe Fly will publish details about its plans for new long distance flights with its recently acquired Boeing 767 aircraft.
It has now become clear that Swe Fly will chose an airport in the Stockholm-region to serve as the point of departures of the projected routes.
Industry sources say Stockholm Skavsta is a good guess as it is already being established as an efficient and cost-efficient alternative to Stockholm Arlanda Airport for budget airlines, and the projected routes will probably be targetting popular Thai holiday destinations.
Today, Swe Fly operates Swedish domestic air routes with two Fokker 50 aircraft.
