SEP 14, 2004 (newstodate): US authorities have lifted restrictions on cargo flights to and from Libya.
All trade with Libya was banned by UN sanctions from 1986 after the Lockerbie terror action.
While these sanctions basically still remain in force, the US government now accepts the need for air cargo operations in and out of the country.
