SEP 21, 2004 (newstodate): Triggered by the reopening of commercial flights by Iraq Airlines, a surge in applications for traffic rights into Iraq is expected soon.
Among the companies now entering the stage are several Turkish airlines including privately-owned Fly and Inter Airlines, sources say.
Insurance premiums are, however, expected to be so high as to makecommercial flights a risky venture in times when passengers loads are still low.
In contrast to this, air cargo is, sources says, prone to attract much attention among operators, warranting an early start of commercial aviation.
