SEP 16, 2004 (newstodate): Frankfurt Hahn Airport sees its cargo volumes more than doubled during this year's first half.
In total, volumes were above the 28,000 tonnes mark, reaching 90,000 tonnes with truked freight included, which is 27 percent up on last year.
Aeroflot is the key driver behind this growth, and the airline has recently added two more freighters to its fleet stationed at the airport.
To meet this growth, the airport has added six more freighter aircraft parking stands, and hopes also to get aproval to its plans for a runway expansion to 3,800 metres.
