SEP 10, 2004 (newstodate): AWAS and Loftleidir Icelandic have launched a new wet-lease ACMI solution to airlines' need for capacity.
The joint solution will allow AWAS to provide B757 and B767 aircraft, while Icelandair will operate the aircraft and provide crew and maintenance on a wet lease basis.

and B767 aircraft and to Icelandair's low cost structure and operational reliability. Together we can offer the airlines and other customers a whole new range of wet lease opportunities, says Sigthor Einarsson, Loftleidir Icelandic president.
AWAS' fleet of 177 aircraft includes BoeingB757-200 and -200PF, and Boeing B767-200ER, -300ER aircraft.
