SEP 23, 2004 (newstodate): Aeroflot, owned 51 percent by the Russian state, has decided to take a leading hand in the project for constructing a new terminal, Sheremetyevo-3, at the state-owned Moscow Sheremetyevo Airport.
The airline's board of directors has approved to take a significant stake in the company set up to implement the project.
Once the new terminal is completed, reconstruction work will start on Sheremetyevo-1 and Sheremetyevo-2, and then Sheremetyevo-2 and -3 will be merged into one unit.
