AUG 27, 2004 (newstodate): IATA sees a virtual cargo boom so far this year.
IATA's latest statistics show an overall increase in volumes by 14.1 percent in January-July, compared to last year.
Compared to 2002-volumes, the growth is 15.3 percent, IATA says.
IATA, however, warns that the increase in traffic is overtaken by the fuel price hike.
According to IATA, each dollar added to average price of a barrel of Brent over the year adds a UDS1 billion to the industry's costs.
