AUG 09, 2004 (newstodate): From November 2, Malaysia Airlines will add a new route from Kuala Lumpur to Stockholm, Sweden.
The thrice-weekly service will be operated by the airline's Boeing 777 aircraft.
The Swedish market will also gain added capacity to and from New York, as the airline introduces Stockholm as a new destination on its route between Kuala Lumpur and New York.
Malaysia Airlines' decision comes after intense lobbying from Copenhagen Airport that also had hoped to attract the new operator in the Nordic region.
