AUG 20, 2004 (newstodate): SAS has announced a package of eight new routes to be added out of Copenhagen Airport.
The new routes will be operated under a cooperation with Cimber Air that provides CRJ200 aircraft capacity.
Among the eight routes is a new route between Copenhagen and Szczecin, Poland, and between Copenhagen and Klaipeda/Palanga, Lithuania.
To cope with the demand, Cimber Air is expected to increase its aircraft currently comprising three CRJ200 aircraft.
Industry sources say Cimber Air will probably take in three three ex-Duo CRJ200 currently owned by Maersk Air that will sell the aircraft to a lease company.
