AUG 06, 2004 (newstodate): Taipei-based China Airlines has introduced its new Cargo Status Automated Notification System to enhance communicaiton with freight forwarders.
Once signed in on the system, forwarders get status information on their shipments via e-mail.
The new system integrates with China Airlines' Cargo B2Bi Platform, providing forwarders with full data exchange, and enhanced efficiency in the cargo forwarding service chain.
As a next step, China Airlines will expand the services of the Cargo Status Automated Notification System to provide information on warehousing, US customs, and truck transportation.
A number of forwarders have been involved in the testing of the new platform, and China Airlines now expects it to provide exchange of more than 50 percent of all export AWBs before the end of this year
