AUG 17, 2004 (newstodate): In July, Austrian Airlines Group continued its strong performance in cargo transportation.
The group's sceduled service ATKs grew by 27.5 percent, closely followed by its RTK, up 27.8 percent, resulting in a slight improvement by 0.2 percentage points in the cargo load factor at 73.1 percent.
For the period January-July, the situation is roughly the same, with ATKs up 20.7, RTKs up 25.1, resulting in a cargo load factor improving by 2.5 percentage points to 70.1 percent.
The sustained performance indicates a strong cargo management and optimised utilisation of a routes network that has seen a targeted expansion of the long-haul routes synchronised with a continued build-up of the network in East and Central Europe.
