JUL 14, 2004 (newstodate): UPS has extended its Express service coverage across Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, Italy, Portugal, Spain, Sweden and the United Kingdom.
By this latest expansion, more than one million additional business addresses are covered by a next day-before noon delivery commitment, offering UPS customers the largest next morning delivery area across Europe, according to UPS.
The 10:30am delivery commitment is primarily focused in major European cities such as Amsterdam, Barcelona, Berlin, Birmingham, Brussels, Copenhagen, London, Lyon, Madrid, Milan, Munich, Oporto, Paris, and Vienna.
This extended coverage builds on enhancements made earlier this year. In January, UPS's Express Plus coverage increased, reaching more than 40 percent of business addresses across the EU the next morning before 9am. And since May 2004, these services are now also offered throughout the extended EU for all shipments going to and from businesses based in the new Member States.
