JUL 23, 2004 (newstodate): Slovenian carrier Adria Airways has signed a contract with Bombardier for delivery of an RJ200 aircraft, plus an option for a further aircraft.
The airline already operates five CR200s on its route network, in addition to three Airbus A320 aircraft.
The airline is also negotiating the lease of a further CR200 from MAersk Air, formerly operated by now-defunct UK carrier Duo Air.
During the first half of 2004, the airline transported a total of 1,800 tonnes of air cargo, down six percent on last year, while passenger loads increased by eight percent to 400,000 passengers.
