JUL 23, 2004 (newstodate): Austrian Airlines Group has announced a fleet harmonisation program streamlining Lauda Air's Boeing fleet.
By mid-July, Austrian Airlines finalised the purchase of an additional Boeing 737-800 to be included from April 2005 in the fleet of Lauda Air that currently operates four aircraft of this type.
A sixth Boeing 737-800 will be delivered in July 2005, and in return, the airline will dispose of two Boeing 737-400, in October 2004 and June 2005, while the final "classic", a Boeing 737-300, is due to be taken out of service in the winter of 2005.
Two other Boeing 737-800 aircraft will bolster the Lauda Air fleet from 2006.
