JUL 27, 2004 (newstodate): August 13 has been set as the expiry date for a public procurement procedure for legal advisory services in connection with concessions to run the civil airports of Varna and Bourgas.
The two airports near the Bulgarian Black Sea have been singled out for privatization, while th state will retain its grip on the capital airport at Sofia.
Aided by the legal advisors now being invited, the state will proceed along the road of finding suitable concessionaires to boost commercial operations at the two airports.
The 35-year concession contracts will probably be signed before the start of the busy summer season in 2005, and suitors will have to deposit EUR300,000.
