JUN 08, 2004 (newstodate): After an up-hill battle during the last two years, the trends have absolutely turned in the Swedish airfreight market, according to a leading freight forwarder.
-Especially during March and April a major increase has been manifest, both in imports and in exports, says Alf Pettersson, Geologistics Sweden airfreight manager.
-A reasonable estimate is that we are close to the levels before 9.11, he says.
-The demand is especially strong in the Far East and Chinese markets, and in the N American markets, and our customers among mid-size Swedish companies tell us that the order intake is now going up at a strong pace, warranting a good year in Swedish airfreight, says Alf Pettersson.
