JUN 17, 2004 (newstodate): Form July 1, Malev Cargo expects to open sales on the joint Malev/Hainan Airlines route between Budapest and Beijing.
Malev has been appointed Hainan Airlines cargo GSA in the Hungarian market, responsible for selling the four pallets capacity on the Boeing 767-300 aircraft that will operate the route three times weekly.
Malev Cargo will itself have half of this capacity at its disposal.
-We are currently working to finalise all details prior to the launch, including settling of a rates scheme, booking procedures and a range of other issues, says Attila Puksas, Malev Cargo.
-The whole situation is still very new and we must first seek market intelligence on what the demands for ex-Hungary air cargo for China really are. It is important, though, that we can offer not just just Beijing but also a wide range of other Chinese destinations as well, says Mr Puksas.
