JUN 11, 2004 (newstodate): The Lehmann Nordic Group has taken over Danish forwarding and logistics provider Mah in a DKK 95 mio deal announced today.
Together the two companies will have a gross turnover of more than DKK 1.5 billion, about 500 employees, and companies in the Nordic countries, the Far East and America.
According to a joint announcement, the two companies will retain their individual identity and continue under own leadership.
Heading the Lehmann Nordic group are Peter Weitemeyer, CEO, and Jan S. Hansen, CFO.
Allan Melgaard and Jorgen Jensen, who, since 6 May this year, have formed the management of Mah, will continue to constitute Mah's management and will become 20 percent shareholders in Mah.
Apart from the capital investment of DKK 95m, Mah's capital base consists of subordinated loans of DKK 22.5m. Despite the problems discovered in connection with the closing of the accounts for 2003, the management has succeeded in creating a solid financial foundation for Mah with a total committed capital of some 50m corresponding to an actual solidity of approximately 20 percent.
