JUN 10, 2004 (newestodate): Bulgarian carrier Hemus Air has now enrolled all three of its ex-Australian BAe 146-200 aircraft.
The airline signed a lease contract with ANZ Investment Bank to operate the aircraft that went into service during May.
Other aircraft in the fleet comprise three TU-154M, six TU-134A, seven Yak-40, and one LET-410.
The new BAe aircraft will replace the TU-134 and Yak-40 that fall within the Stage 2 noise regulations banning them from operating into EU.
Hemus Air, set up in 1991, plans to introduce the new aircraft on its route network from Sofia to Athens, Bratislava, Tripoli, Bucharest, Larnaca, Leipzig, Oslo, Tirana, as well as on domestic routes from Sofia to Bourgas and Varna and on seasonal charter flights.
