JUN 16, 2004 (newstodate): On June 13, Ukraine International Airlines launched its new route from Kiev to Kuwait.
The new nonstop twice-weekly route is operated with Boeing 737 aircraft.
Ukraine International Airlines and Kuwait Airways entered a marketing alliance taking effect from July 2, 2004.
Through the cooperation between the two airlines, Ukrainean passengers will have ease transfer to other routes into the region via Kuwait.
-We are currently analysing the cargo potentials of the route, and so far we have signed an agreement with the Kuwait Embassy in Kiev on the transportation of the diplomatic mail to and from Kuwait, says Marina Orekhova, Ukraine International Airlines corporate press secretary.
Acording to Ms Orekhova, the general cargo capacity on the route operated on Boeing 737-300/400/500 is up to one tonne, or 500-600 kg in case of a full passenger load.
