JUN 22, 2004 (newstodate): airBaltic Cargo saw its total cargo volumes up by 18 percent during the period January-May.
-Our cargo traffic was up by 40 percent, but airmail only by seven percent, says Haralds Treimanis, airBaltic Cargo manager.
-Generally this is a very busy period for airBaltic Cargo, with new destinations Amsterdam, London and soon also Manchester coming unto the route map.
-We are also consolidating our traffic with weekly trucking services to Minsk, and we are in the process of establishing our cargo activites in Vilnius, Lithuania, with many organisational issues still pending their solution. Finally, we are also expanding our cargo activities at Riga Airport, he says.
