JUN 07, 2004 (newstodate): Bent on further global expansion, Emirates plans for more destinations in S and N America.
Speaking on the occasion of the airline's first Airbus A340-600 direct flight from Dubai to New York, Maurice Flanagan, Emirates VP said Emirates will soon launch new routes to Toronto, Rio de Janeiro, Sao Paulo and Buenos Aires.
The insatiable expansion is facilitated by the introduction of eight long-range Airbus A340-600 aircraft ordered so far, and will be further boosted when the airline receives the first of its 22 Airbus A380 aircraft from 2006.
