MAY 28, 2004 (newstodate): Siberia Airlines continues strengthening its hub at Novosibirsk by adding a number of new routes during this summer.
On May 26 Siberia Airlines launched flights once a week to Bishkek, the capital of Kyrgyzstan. On May 20, regular once-weekly flights to Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan, were added, and in addition to the flights to the capitals of CIS countries, the companys summer timetable also includes new regular flights to eastern Siberian cities.
Thus the airline started flights on May 21 from Novosibirsk to Chita two times per week, while a new twice-weekly route from Novosibirsk to Blagoveshchensk will be launched on June 2.
-The development of the Novosibirsk transport hub continues to be one of the companys priorities. Siberia Airlines is restoring the routes traditionally operated in the former Soviet Union, and develops the route network in the Siberian region. This year, the volume of the companys regular flights from Novosibirsk will reach 34, says Dmitry Verkhovod, Siberia Airlines C.E.O. West Siberian branch.
