MAY 05, 2004 (newstodate): EVA Air Cargo has contracted the French-owned cargo handling company SFS Vienna to provide handling servicves for its new MD-11F freighter route at Vienna.
Launched on May 5, the airline will operate from Vienna via Mumbai to Taipei in cooperation with Austrian Airlines that adds about 10 tonnes of cargo on the thrice-weekly service.
EVA Airlines also operates four weekly MD11 passenger flights between Taipei and Vienna via Bangkok.
As is the case at other SFS-stations, the company also runs an own road feeder network at Vienna to connect cargo uplift with markets in Eastern Europe.
